Here, pediatric care looks different.
Appointments aren’t rushed. Questions are welcomed. And your child’s health is approached with curiosity, compassion, and a commitment to getting to the root cause.

Because when we understand the full picture — nutrition, sleep, gut health, environment, and daily habits — children have the best chance to truly thrive.

Why Families Are Choosing Rooted Pediatric Healthcare
In many small towns, families have limited options when it comes to pediatric care — especially care that takes a natural, root-cause approach.
Rooted Pediatric Healthcare was created to change that.
Families travel from neighboring communities, sometimes 30 to 45 minutes because they are looking for something different.
A provider who takes time to listen
Care that looks deeper than symptoms

Guidance that supports natural health and prevention
A relationship built on trust
What Makes This Approach Different
Functional and integrative pediatric care connects the dots between the many factors that influence a child’s health.
Instead of simply treating symptoms, we take a deeper look at things like:
• Nutrition and gut health
• Sleep and daily routines
• Environmental exposures
• Emotional wellbeing
• Lifestyle habits

This whole-child approach helps uncover the root causes behind common concerns like digestive issues, immune challenges, behavioral concerns, skin conditions, and more.
Because healing happens when we understand the whole child — not just the symptom.

Brooke MacTaggart is a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with a passion for caring for children through a more thoughtful, holistic lens.
After years working in pediatric intensive care and case management, Brooke saw firsthand how often healthcare focuses on managing symptoms instead of addressing the underlying causes.
That realization led her to pursue a more integrative approach to pediatric care.
Today, she provides compassionate, individualized care for families throughout Delaware County and surrounding communities — helping parents understand their child’s health and supporting kids as they grow.
Brooke is also a wife and mom to three adventurous kids, Tate, Noa, and Banks, and deeply values the small-town community her family calls home.
For many families, she becomes more than a provider — she becomes a trusted partner in their child’s health journey.
Pediatric Services
Rooted Pediatric Healthcare offers comprehensive pediatric services designed to support children at every stage of development.

Well Child Exams
Routine wellness visits help monitor your child’s growth, development, and overall health. These visits provide time to discuss nutrition, sleep, behavioral concerns, and developmental milestones while ensuring your child is thriving.
Acute Visits
When your child isn’t feeling well, you need care you can trust. Acute visits allow Brooke to evaluate symptoms such as fevers, coughs, infections, rashes, and other common childhood illnesses while providing a clear plan for recovery.
School & Sports Physicals
School and sports physicals ensure children are healthy and prepared for activities. These visits include a comprehensive assessment and provide families with required documentation for school and athletic programs.
Functional Medicine Visits
Functional pediatric medicine focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of health concerns. Through a deeper look at nutrition, lifestyle factors, and environmental influences, personalized care plans are created to support long-term health and wellness.

What Parents are saying
A Place Where Families Feel heard
Appointments are intentionally unhurried so families have the time and space to talk about what’s really going on with their child.
Because good healthcare isn’t just about treatment — it’s about connection, trust, and understanding. This is healthcare our children deserve.
